This morning you will be greeted at the meeting point in Perth by your expert guide and tour leader. Then it’s time to leave the city behind and prepare for four days of bliss and adventure. En route to our serene and exclusive retreat near Dunsborough, we pop into the quirky Crooked Carrot Café & Farm in Myalup for morning tea with a twist, and later stop and taste seven varieties of honey or grab a coffee/tea at Barnyard Farm.  We enjoy a picnic lunch, and then spend the afternoon soaking up the natural beauty of the area.  We take a breathtaking coastal walk, visiting the beauty that is Heartbeat Retreat in Dunsborough, a large country house nestled in tree-covered natural bush and walking trails.   In the evening  we enjoy a group welcome dinner with an amazing BBQ of local foods to soothe the soul.

Today begins with a nutritious breakfast before immersing ourselves in the boundless natural beauty of the Cape to Cape Track on a half-day hiking experience led by local holistic healer Dan. During the hike, Dan will help us re-centre through mindfulness, ritual and ceremony, and guide us through a unique Shamanic Light meditation. After a beach picnic and swim, we then head back to the retreat for a gentle Yin Yoga session to stretch out after our walk.  There is the opportunity to enjoy some free time before a fabulous evening with local identity Sarina, the Spice Mistress. Sarina will guide us through a spice masterclass, and prepare some flavoursome food whilst we gain a unique insight into the healing properties of spices.

By now, we are really feeling the benefits of our relaxing activities and the serenity of our beautiful surroundings. It’s time to step up to the next level, with a yoga and sound meditation session at stunning Meelup Beach, with the creator of the South West Yoga Festival. After this relaxing yoga session at the beach we freshen up at the retreat for a day of tasting our way around the region. We meet Tim and Cree at One Table Farm & Cooking School for a farm tour and tailor-made sourdough making demonstration. Then it’s time to relax over lunch, tasting various breads and farm to plate organic produce. We then enjoy a walk around the sustainable farm they have created from scratch and hear their extraordinary story. Later we visit some of the region’s iconic vineyards for wine and cheese tastings, and at the Margaret River Distilling Co. we have a ‘Tour and Taste’ experience at Ginaversity. Here we have the opportunity to sip on four flavours of gin with garnishes as we learn about the botanicals and the processes from a passionate gin creator. The day is completed with a three course dinner at the famous Chow Restaurant.

24 November 2021 (BL)

This morning, we enjoy a Hatha Yoga session – the final yoga session of our retreat, followed by a delicious breakfast. We then enjoy the last activity of our tour – a two-hour serene paddle up the Margaret River, taking in all the sounds and sights of nature as we glide through the water. Then, feeling relaxed, it’s time to jump aboard the bus one last time for our journey back to Perth, stopping en route for a gourmet picnic lunch at the iconic Busselton Jetty.
