Papua New Guinea is a unique travel destination and Travel Directors runs a small group escorted tour to this extraordinary country. We fly into the capital, Port Moresby, and visit the southern end of the Kokoda Trail as well as the Bomana War Cemetery. We then fly to Rabaul and see the spectacular Tavurvur and Vulcan volcanoes.

A boat journey takes us to the remote and beautiful Duke of York Islands. Next we head to Wewak and travel by dugout canoe down the Sepik river to the village of Ambunti where we meet the amazing Crocodile People. From Wewak we enjoy a luxury cruise to the volcanic island of Manus and onto Madang.

Our final port of call in papua New Guinea is Mount Hagen. Its a short drive from here to the village of Paiya where we attend the spectacular Mount Hagen Show, a world-renowned festival showcasing the diverse cultures of Papua New Guinea.
