Travel Directors offers small group escorted tours to the desert regions of North Africa and the Middle East. ‘Ancient Kingdoms of the Desert’ heads to Egypt, Jordan and Syria. We begin in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, before enjoying an overnight train journey to Aswan to see the great Aswan dam. We also see the wonderous temple of Abu Simbel before taking a Nile river cruise  up to Luxor where we visit the Valley of the Kings and the Valley of the Queens.

In Jordan we visit Mount Sinai, Aqaba, Wadi Rum and the legendary city of Petra. We have a swim in the Dead Sea before reaching the capital of Jordan, Amman. In Syria we begin in the capital, Damascus then head to Palmyra, Aleppo and the castle of Krak des Chevaliers. On the ‘Arabian Encounter’ tour we also visit Jordan and Syria but also head to Beirut and amazing Yemen.
